Subspecies of Archachatina marginata native to Cameroon and Nigeria. These snails are often eaten and cultivated for that purpose. They only lay a limited number of eggs, namely 5 or 6 per clutch, but these are 2 cm in size. Depending on the temperature, it can take up to 6 weeks to hatch.
